12. riding angels to haarlem

skip the first part and all that riding - have to go back you know!
instead focus on what is important: new blue shoes and the joy of cheese stix

somewhere in the mids of this joy there were nice old buildings and stuff and juice called 'cool best'

after lunch strolling in town and you just drop the extra a to get outside new amsterdam

then of course, if there is a new town to visit there must also be another big church. this one is quite macho with its big organ

it seems qift wrapping the local buildings in the national colours is all the rage

and under the candy coloured wrappings is normally a market. although the pumkins look spectacular, it has been found that they are generally lacking in taste but make up for their blandness by maximising wind production

of course, beauty is found in many guises and continually invades the senses

not just beauty but love and bike love is the best kind

so after a fitfull day out its back on the steeds for the hour and a half return trip home.

dissappointingly, the train drivers did not respond the universal action for horn honking...

as the arm pump has also been subsumed into sporting and more generally popular culture, it seems the horn specific honking action may have seen its time come and go.

so onward - and seeing the blue paniered bandit streak ahead, the stripped curl bandit sees an openning for some customary self portraiture

as the shadows lengthed, the ride continued and the sky went spectacular

and out of the mists of time all cares fled as the hum and thwack of slowly rotating turbine blades sliced the air. coulping with hyrdo electrics and glassy water, the day took on a magical charm

turning breifly away from the magnificance of man, nature stepped up and presented a stunning counterpoint

all in all a great day out. and what better way to end it than to realise that big things are everywhere and although it was not a prawn, oyster, banana, pineapple, ram or axe the large ball for foot was able to bridge the gap

and to show that although different sides of the world are on different sides of the world it is and goes round like a ball.

Hey Recalcitron

Nice work on the blog

Hey you can see on your little map the dot when I checked it out while I was in Sardinia. Not sure why we both get so many hits from the middle of Aus?
