22. Special 20th Edition Berlin Birthday Adventure Day 3

reflecting is easy to do in berlin as history fills the air.

after a close encounter with the russian king, the bear was not ready for prawns on toast for breakfast.

however fuelled, he sneaks camera into the checkpoint charlie museum and captures the daytime guards in a moment of repore.

inside, at the back of the museum, the classroom lies open and filled with doves of peace, while the chairs line up in unifom underneath.

outside, modern architecture takes over and changes the light subtly, design aesthetic making a journey into beauty.

slip on a banana you say. i say love over a fish shaped rainbow.

rebuilt the city takes on a shine as autumn extends its fronds threatening to take over.

miss adeventure's off road circus brings you speed in the leaf falling tiergarten forest.

in the middle, nike stands watch.

a subway entrance, with nike tower in background, shows signs of bullet holes.

back round forest paths and suddenly a desert of combed rock extends to the urban event horizon.

cavities merge into deep afternoon shadows. light doesn't stick to the graffiti proof walls. instead sliding through the psyche a chariot of communal rememberance.

next stop on the free bike tour of berlin, it's one of the last remaining pieces of berlin wall.

luckily enough a piece of period auto turned up for a great old v. new live photomontage.

next stop on the tour and it's the brandenburg gate and 'damaged roof a.k.a. the hollow tooth' made out of chocolate.

outside the humbollt university and home of einsteinian relativity, the tale turns lucid, and the burning crackle of books fills the air.

a page on every book on every empty shelf for each holocaust victim.

such vivid history drives vivid future. city lights up.

reflective allusions stack up as we peer into the cities open spaces.

inside the outside dome, the outside world shines in and peoples shapes milling about in the sky are reflected down into the parliamentary chamber.

from the top, brandenburg gate at night, and the avenue of great great granpa willy brandt.

this dome shape is something it seems recalcitron never gets enough of. the way it frames miss adventure perfectly.

a ring of seats in that library building we love but don't know the name of.

they look just like total newlyweds on a weekend birthday extravaganza getaway.

happy as a man who flashes red with his arms stuck out.

happy as a man who walks with purpose and loves to cross the road, especially if it is on the way to work.

21. Special 20th Edition Berlin Birthday Adventure Day 2

worse then starting a worse day it be, when wurst for breakfast becomes a way of life.

the sydney bunnies breath fire and try to nibble away the nasty looking log.

delusions are they appearing as bears appearing to play the round ball game?

hands up if in fact the new team sport we all choose to play/macroscale table soccer.

some would be detecives were hired by miss adventure to track down her bear. with large plastic bears roaming the city, she says, we will have scant chance of tracking him down for you.

we will ask those three large bottomed ladies up there in the Charlottenburg sun as they must have a good view of the street.

all that weee can seee they saay is the remains of tragedy in the sprits of yesterday.

from their elevated vantage point, these wise ladies did hand down a recommendation to seek the bear at the source of his day. to Hamburger Bahnhoff and fast.

looking for paw sign in this train station makes me think i'm in an art museum, miss adventure seems to say to herself.

here it is at last she cries. flat plates layed out like bait to him.

close to the bear now and a turn for the worse appears as floating balls in a jar. seeing this the bear would surely flee.

someone has thrown a javelin at the wall. over the boulders the light becons.

cave light is what I see he says into the lens.

outside and The Rain God has pulled out a map to help miss adventure take place toward the bear.

The Rain God led the way through former eastern backstreets and emerged into the beaming glow of the fosters sign. it is a sure trap to lure him with.

sure enough. bear trap + beer tap = bloody good job done.

on the way home i take you through checkpoint and show you glimpse into the past. too cold now. investigate tomorrow.

street closed down and on the corner block of checkpoint charlie, an excited spot light shines on a wall. quietly fulfilling his desire with time.
